What is a FAA Part 107 Certificated Drone Pilot?

Per the Federal Aviation Administration in order to fly a drone under the FAA 's Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA . This certificate demonstrates that the pilot understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones.

This Certificate must be obtained to fly drones for commercial projects and also allows for a pilot to be insured.
